“Over the past few years I’ve had the privilege and the pleasure of being the BRAIN Lab’s coordinator. I’ve gotten the chance to be involved with several projects and meet with outstanding research assistants and graduate students. I feel inspired by the work constantly and have really enjoyed my time in the lab. I leave as a more confident researcher and better prepared for my MA journey ahead. I cannot thank the amazing BRAIN Lab team enough and Dr. Paterson for giving me this opportunity. It’s been great!

My time at the BRAIN Lab was incredibly enriching, with ample opportunities to develop research skills, connect with graduate students, and collaborate with lab managers on new tasks or discussion topics in a supportive, community based setting. The lab is extremely well organized, purpose driven, and led by approachable and supportive mentors!

Over the past year, I have had the honour and privilege of working alongside the BRAIN Lab team. My time with this amazing group of scholars pushed me as an individual and an academic and always provided me with opportunities to work on new projects. In addition to this, the experiences I had in the lab led me to question where my interests lay, which area of research felt inspiring to me, and how I could plan out the next few years of my career to align with these new ideas.

I have decided to conclude my work with the lab to focus on my courses during what will be my final year in my degree program. Additionally, I am planning a significant move to the UK to complete an exchange semester for the Winter Semester. I am grateful to Theone, and everyone else involved in this wonderful team. I look forward to furthering my research experience soon.

Getting involved in the BRAIN Lab was an incredible way to get hands-on experience throughout different phases of neuropsychology research. I am very thankful for the support and encouragement from my supervisors and peers, and I feel incredibly privileged to have been part of such an exceptional team. I am now pursuing further study in radiography to gain clinical experience, with the goal of ultimately integrating these skills with my interests in medical research.
